I live in lively Grey Lynn with my family and am a parent trustee of Richmond Road School. Currently Deputy Chair of the Waitematā Local Board, I understand that we have a crucial role in building community capacity to meet the challenges we are facing.

I will work to ensure that shared resources - parks, streets, libraries, and waterfront - are enhanced and accessible; that we have walkable neighbourhoods with thriving local centres; that we use the best regenerative urban design, better environmental protection, waste management, tree management, and biodiversity strategies.

I am completing a doctorate on the role of play in cities to promote connection, innovation, collaboration and resilience. That’s what we need: a sustainable city that is a pleasure to live in.

Vote Alex Bonham
and City Vision
for Waitematā Local Board

Alex is seeking re-election as Green supported candidate as part of City Vision. City Vision is an Auckland centre-left local body political group that represents the local Labour and Green parties and other progressive people who are active and keen to represent their communities but do not belong to any political party (community independents).
