I live in lively Grey Lynn with my family and am a parent trustee of Richmond Road School. Currently Deputy Chair of the Waitematā Local Board, I understand that we have a crucial role in building community capacity to meet the challenges we are facing.

I will work to ensure that shared resources - parks, streets, libraries, and waterfront - are enhanced and accessible; that we have walkable neighbourhoods with thriving local centres; that we use the best regenerative urban design, better environmental protection, waste management, tree management, and biodiversity strategies.

I am completing a doctorate on the role of play in cities to promote connection, innovation, collaboration and resilience. That’s what we need: a sustainable city that is a pleasure to live in.
